“Good Lookin Out”:  An expression of appreciation to someone for being helpful by noticing, realizing, or proactively doing something.

THE GLO STATEMENT

 

     G.L.O. Solutions is a Boston based non-profit organization that was founded in 2021 to develop “Solutions For Humanity”.   Our solutions will be implemented to Engage, Inspire, and Encourage individuals and groups from the City of Boston and surrounding areas to acquire the necessary tools for social and economic growth.  We will accomplish this with data research, real time campaign experiences and proactive agendas that will continue to work independently beyond our creation.  The overall goal is to enlighten our community by providing sustainable programming.  We also plan to bridge the gap between communities, law enforcement and government agencies through mutual & independent programs and legislation. 

 

     Our first milestone was part of our Civic & Health agendas by uplifting the male figure in the home, The Father.  Through outreach and education we were able to take action on Mental Health, the misunderstandings of CORI repair, and Homelessness.  One of our main components was a locally televised march for Fathers Day in Boston, MA 2021.  This March was in collaboration with politicians, law enforcement and the general public. The march began in Nubian Square, Roxbury through Malcolm X Park and ended at Franklin Park.  We will continue this mission with seminars and events to provide the necessary tools.  

 

     With contributions and donations, we have sustained annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drives with the Salvation Army dispersing over 150 meal kits per season. Our annual Holiday Toy Drive has blessed over 300 families. As well as an ongoing monthly Givebacks with Food, PPE, Warm Kits (blankets, hats, jackets, socks, warmers), Hygiene Care Packs that have reached countless homeless individuals in the Melnea Cass Boulevard, Massachusetts Avenue and other metro Boston & Brockton areas.   

 

     In 2022, we continued up the root into the stem of youth advocacy.  Helping young minds grow into positive community leaders through our rendition of  S.T.E.A.M. (Sports, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Management)  program.  

 

     We began with a Sports segment of fundamental skill for football & basketball and nutrition to educate the youth on healthy eating habits, exercise and teamwork.  This segment blossomed in 2023 with an exclusive partnership with Under Armour to organize and facilitate their 2024 & ongoing  “Under The Lights” Flag Football program in Massachusetts.   

 

     The next phase of our STEAM program was/is our “Let’s Build” workshop.  This is a class for grades 3-5 geared towards engineering and architecture taught by a professional engineer and architect.   The beginner students are taught basic math such as length, height, width, area and volume as it relates to real world objects.  Intermediate students are introduced to architectural and civil engineering plan reading.   Advanced students will begin the drafting process of residential structures.  

 

     GLO is dedicated to helping and creating programs that reach where most public and private organizations cannot.  Our goal is to establish a Resource Center that can offer all of our agendas in one place.  We plan to partner with many individuals and companies who share the same goals and aspirations to see humanity succeed.  We are men, and now women,  who’ve decided to get off the sidelines and make positive changes in our community. The passion and confidence of the GLO founding members, board of directors and advisors comes from their combined experiences and desire to Engage, Inspire, and Encourage.
